Peer support is a recovery-oriented support service in which a Certified Peer Support Specialist utilizes his/her training and experience to mentor, guide, and coach individuals as they work to achieve self-identified recovery and resiliency goals.
Peer support services are appropriate for adults 18 or older who are struggling with mental illness and are motivated to work towards their recovery goals.
